Lucid Duo
&
Tomasz Klepczyński

This concerto introduces a novel instrument configuration: a clarinet in Bb, a bass clarinet and two marimbas. These instruments, which have rarely been combined before, produce a distinctive sonic palette with their wooden resonances and musical interactions. The orchestra also participates as a soloist, not just as a supportive ensemble, contributing more color and character to the concerto. The concerto incorporates various influences from classical music, especially the 20th century and film music, as well as some contemporary elements. It also expresses the composer’s own invention and style.
